Robin Vasan, MD

Robin was born and raised in the United Kingdom and attended University College London Medical School. During this time he obtained a degree in Human Genetics, founded the first student-led national surgical conference, and was pivotal in maintaining the London-wide supremacy of the UCL tennis team. He was then privileged to be able to spend two years in Boston as a basic science research fellow investigating the role of Intestinal Alkaline Phosphatase in the control of inflammation and maintenance of the gut barrier. He is very excited and honored to have been chosen to join the fantastic UPMC Urology program, with his particular academic interests lying in the fields of oncology and reconstruction. Outside of work Robin enjoys reading, running and keeping fit, piano, chess, spending time with friends and family and exploring the great city of Pittsburgh.
